G. Thomas Harper
About Tom's PracticeG. Thomas Harper has practiced labor and employment law since 1973. He opened The Law and Mediation Offices of G. Thomas Harper, LLC, in 2014. He is Board Certified by the Florida Bar in Labor and Employment Law. Mr. Harper represents a diverse group of companies in a broad range of employment and labor issues. He counsels clients concerning the FMLA, the ADA, the ADEA, and sexual harassment. He has defense litigation experience in a wide variety and number of cases, including numerous jury and non-jury trials before federal and state courts and administrative agencies. Tom has also served as an expert witness on employment law issues in federal court in Florida. He has been involved in over 200 union-organizing attempts, union elections, decertifications, contract negotiations, and strikes. He presents seminars for clients and employer associations on all aspects of labor and employment law and conducts supervisor training on such diverse topics as National Labor Relations Act compliance, sexual harassment, ADA, and FMLA.
Tom Harper is both a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Court Mediator and a Board Certified Labor and Employment lawyer. This combination, together with his experience, makes him uniquely qualified to mediate employment related disputes. He is also an Approved Mediator for all Florida Circuit Courts and for the U.S. District Courts for the Middle and Northern Districts of Florida and has attended and participated in approximately 100 employment-related mediations.
