Kagan's Impact on Employers Explored

May 10, 2010

President Barack Obama today nominated Elena Kagan to replace retiring Justice John Paul Stevens on the U.S. Supreme Court. Stevens has a reputation for making employee-friendly decisions in cases that have reached the high court, but most employers dont have much familiarity with Kagan or her views on employment-related issues.

We asked Joanna R. Vilos, an editor of Wyoming Employment Law Letter, to share her insights on the nomination in an article on HR Hero's Human Resources News blog. Vilos is a 2003 graduate of Harvard Law School where Kagan served as professor and later dean.
